FUEL SURCHARGE
Methodology
UPS Air Cargo utilizes a Fuel Price Index (FPI) based fuel surcharge methodology permitting a weekly assessment of the average price per gallon of Kerosene Type Jet Fuel in five key markets (U.S. Gulf Coast, New York, Los Angeles, Rotterdam and Singapore) as reported by the US Department of Energy on their web site. The fuel surcharge will increase or decrease whenever the FPI passes trigger thresholds for two consecutive weeks.
